Increase Your Daily Productivity by Creating & Using Systems

It’s true. We all get the same number of hours each day. But sometimes, when looking at the lives of others, we often have to scratch out heads and wonder how they get it all done. How can she be a full-time student and have a growing business? How does he manage to take a vacation in Bali for a month, and still have a steady flow of income? How does she juggle having a family and growing her side hustle? These superstar people seem to know something we don’t know. Or so we think.

What’s the secret?

Here is the deal. The people you are looking at wondering how they make life and business seem so seamless have the secret sauce. What’s the secret sauce? They have systems.

They have a blueprint for how they live life and conduct business that works for them. They are not re-inventing the wheel. They have mastered how to create a harmony in their everyday life that helps them be more efficient, perform at peak hours in their day and they follow the system they know and love so that they can get the results they need to thrive.

And guess what? You too can create a system of being and doing that helps you be more productive each and every day.

Believe it or not, your life is not the exception to the that there is a system that can and will work for you…if you implement it. You can set yourself up to get more done in less time, eliminate the need for double and triple checking your work and you can learn where outsourcing your work can best benefit your process.

Templates and To-Do Lists are Your Friends

Personally, I live my life by my planner and I run my businesses using templates and to-do lists. Before I start each day, I know what my priorities are for the day and I know where I need to focus my energy and efforts.

I used to be one who believed that autoresponders made my work seem impersonal. However, I have learned that nobody cares about getting an auto-response, at least they know their message has been received! People like to know what to expect and implementing practices that automate tasks like responding to emails can save you tons of hours in productivity.

While templates will undoubtedly save you time, the real beauty is that once they’re created, you can easily outsource things like email and even sales. Simply instruct your assistant on the proper use of your templates, and you’ll be free to do other, more important things.

And what can I say about the power of planning using to-do lists? They work! In the haste of wanting to get a million things done when you only have a hundred minutes to work, prioritizing your tasks is a must. So many times business owners get stuck working in their businesses that they don’t have time to work on their business to help it grow. This is where planning and checking things off come in handy.

Don’t start your day not being specific and intentional about what you do. Or you run the risk of getting a lot done but not getting anything done. What does this look like?

You sit down at 8 am and start “working” and before you know it, its noon and you have not made any movement towards your daily goal. You can’t account for the four hours you just put in because you know what your intentions were when you started working.

I’ve been there. And I’ve made tons of mistakes because of my busyness. And so, I found a way to work smarter. I started sticking to my daily plans and stopped second guessing my workflow. I do the things that get me excited and hand over mundane tasks to my VA when needed. Oh, and the same systems I use, my VA uses. We aren’t doing anything new over here.

When you are truly ready to maximize your day, you need to create the habits you need to grow. From outsourcing to using a timer, implementing systems into your workflow that help you stay focused and do more can be a life-saver.
